It does not flow through Arunachal Pradesh; rather, the Brahmaputra enters India through Arunachal Pradesh [c5]. Therefore, statement 1 is incorrect. Regarding statement 2, the Tista is a major right-bank tributary of the Brahmaputra [c1, t2]. It joins the Brahmaputra (known as the Jamuna in Bangladesh) at Fulchori in Bangladesh [c2, t5, t8]. Historically, the Tista was a tributary of the Ganga but shifted its course following a major flood in 1787 [c1, t5]. Since it currently falls into the Brahmaputra, statement 2 is correct.
