Which one of the following can be provided under RTI Act, 2005 ?

Under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, Section 8(1) lists specific exemptions from disclosure. Options 1, 2, and 4 are strictly exempted: Section 8(1)(a) prohibits information leading to the incitement of an offense [t1][t6]; Section 8(1)(b) exempts information that may constitute contempt of court [t5][t6]; and Section 8(1)(i) exempts Cabinet papers recording deliberations of the Council of Ministers [t1][t6]. However, Section 8(1)(d) provides a 'conditional disclosure' for information involving commercial confidence, trade secrets, or intellectual property [t4]. While generally protected to prevent harming a third party's competitive position, such information can be provided if the competent authority is satisfied that a larger public interest warrants its disclosure [t1][t6]. This makes intellectual property the only category among the options that allows for such a conditional release based on public interest overrides.
