In which State is the hydel power project - Nathpa Jhakari located ?

The Nathpa Jhakri (also spelled Nathpa Jhakari) hydel power project is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh [1]. It is a major run-of-the-river hydroelectric project constructed on the Satluj River [t2][t5]. The project is situated across the Kinnaur and Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh [t4][t7]. With an installed capacity of 1500 MW, it is one of India's largest hydropower plants and was developed by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh [t5][t6]. The project was commissioned in 2004 and dedicated to the nation in 2005 [t4]. It utilizes a 27.4 km long headrace tunnel, one of the longest in the world, to generate electricity that serves several northern Indian states [t5][t6].
