The ‘Golden Quadrilateral' which connects Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata passes through

The Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) is a 5,846 km highway network connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata [3]. The route is divided into four main sections. The Delhi-Mumbai section (NH-48) passes through Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat [4]. The Mumbai-Chennai section (NH-48) passes through Pune and Bangalore. The Chennai-Kolkata section (NH-16) passes through Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar [3]. The Kolkata-Delhi section (NH-19) passes through Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Kanpur [3]. Therefore, the cities Vadodara (Delhi-Mumbai), Pune (Mumbai-Chennai), Visakhapatnam (Chennai-Kolkata), and Varanasi (Kolkata-Delhi) are all located on the Golden Quadrilateral route [4]. Other options include cities like Amritsar, Porbandar, and Bhopal, which are part of the North-South/East-West Corridors or other national highways rather than the GQ [2].
