A member giving notice of a resolution for removal of Speaker, Lok Sabha should be addressed to the

According to the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, a member wishing to give notice of a resolution for the removal of the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker must do so in writing to the Secretary General [3]. While the Speaker resigns by writing to the Deputy Speaker [4], the formal notice for a removal resolution under Article 94 of the Constitution requires at least fourteen days' notice [4]. This notice is addressed to the Secretary General, who is the administrative head of the Lok Sabha Secretariat and assists the Speaker in discharging constitutional and statutory responsibilities [2]. Once the notice is received, the motion for leave to move the resolution is entered into the list of business [1]. During the consideration of such a resolution, the Speaker cannot preside over the House [2].
