Your answer:  ·  Correct: A
Explanation

The Sayyid dynasty (1414–1451) was the fourth dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, established by Khizr Khan [1][t1]. Khizr Khan had previously served as the governor of Multan under Firuz Shah Tughlaq and was later appointed as Timur's deputy in India following the Timurid invasion [c1][t3]. In 1414, he seized Delhi from Daulat Khan Lodi to found the dynasty [t3][t4]. Although he ruled independently, Khizr Khan did not assume the title of Sultan, instead styling himself as 'Rayat-i-Ala' (Sublime Banners) out of deference to Timur and his son Shah Rukh [c2][t4]. The dynasty claimed descent from the Prophet Muhammad, a claim documented in the contemporary work 'Tarikh-i-Mubarak Shahi' [t1][t7]. Khizr Khan was succeeded by his son Mubarak Shah, followed by Muhammad Shah and finally Alauddin Alam Shah, who was the last ruler of the dynasty [t1][t2].
