Which one among the following Union Territories of India is the smallest in geographical area?

Lakshadweep is the smallest Union Territory of India in terms of geographical area, covering only 32 sq km [1]. It is an archipelago consisting of 36 islands located in the Arabian Sea [4]. In comparison, the other Union Territories mentioned have significantly larger areas: Chandigarh covers approximately 114 sq km, Puducherry spans about 479 sq km, and the merged Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu covers roughly 603 sq km. While the administrative landscape of India changed with the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act of 2019 and the merger of Dadra and Nagar Haveli with Daman and Diu in 2020 [1], Lakshadweep remains the smallest administrative unit by land area. Ladakh is currently the largest Union Territory by area.
