All three statements are incorrect. Nehru led the interim central government and moved the Objectives Resolution in the Constituent Assembly, but he was not the Assembly’s presiding officer; his role was to head the interim government and participate actively in debates, including moving the Objectives Resolution [2]. He chaired an Experts Committee to prepare material for the Assembly rather than presiding over the Assembly itself [2]. Nehru formed and led the interim (central) ministry in 1946–47, not a provincial Congress ministry in the United Provinces; the evidence points to his central role in the interim government rather than formation of a UP Congress ministry before independence [5]. While Nehru had been Congress President at earlier sessions (e.g. Lahore 1929), there is no support here for him being Congress President in 1947 [4].
