In the year 1613, where was the English East India Company given permission to set up a factory (trading post)?

The English East India Company obtained permission to establish its first permanent factory at Surat in 1613. After Captain Thomas Best’s naval victory over the Portuguese off Surat in 1612, Jahangir was sufficiently impressed and in early 1613 granted the English permission to set up a factory there under Thomas Aldworth, marking the Company’s first formal trading post on the Gujarat coast [1]. Contemporary histories also record that with Best’s success and subsequent negotiations the English established their initial factory at Surat in 1613, from which the Company’s trade in India expanded [2].
