Statement (2) is incorrect because Lok Adalats can dispose of civil disputes and also compoundable criminal matters; they cannot deal with offences which are non‑compoundable under law [2]. Statement (3) is false as Lok Adalat benches include serving or retired judicial officers along with other members such as advocates and social workers, not judicial officers alone [2]. Therefore option (4) (None of the statements is correct) is the right choice.
