An ammeter is a device used to measure electric current and must be connected in series with the circuit component [1]. To ensure it does not significantly alter the current it measures, an ammeter is designed with very low resistance. Conversely, a voltmeter measures the potential difference (voltage) between two points and is always connected in parallel [2]. To prevent drawing significant current from the circuit, which would lead to inaccurate readings, a voltmeter is designed with very high resistance. Therefore, statement 4 is incorrect because it falsely claims that a voltmeter has low resistance and an ammeter has high resistance. In reality, the opposite is true: ammeters have low resistance to allow current flow, while voltmeters have high resistance to minimize current diversion.
