Sun da Trench lies in

Result
Your answer: —  Â·  Correct: C
Explanation

The Sunda Trench, also widely known as the Java Trench, is located in the eastern Indian Ocean [t1][t4]. It is a major oceanic trench formed by the subduction of the Indo-Australian plate beneath the Sunda Plate, which is a part of the larger Eurasian Plate [c1][t4]. Stretching approximately 3,200 kilometres, it curves around the southern coast of Sumatra and Java in the Indonesian archipelago [t4][t8]. With a maximum depth of approximately 7,290 to 7,450 metres, it represents the deepest point in the Indian Ocean [t2][t4][t10]. The trench is geologically significant as an active subduction zone associated with intense seismic activity and volcanism, including the catastrophic 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake [t4][t10]. While the Pacific Ocean contains the majority of the world's trenches, the Sunda Trench is the most prominent feature of its kind in the Indian Ocean [c2][c3].
