The Tropic of Cancer does not pass through

The Tropic of Cancer (23°30'N) is a significant latitudinal line that divides India into almost two equal halves. It passes through eight Indian states: Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tripura, and Mizoram [t1][t3][t8]. Specifically, it enters through the Rann of Kuchchh in the west and exits through Mizoram in the east [c1]. While it passes through Rajasthan (Banswara district), Chhattisgarh (Korea, Surajpur, and Balrampur districts), and Tripura (Udaipur), it does not pass through Orissa (Odisha) [t1][t8][t9]. Interestingly, Orissa is one of the states through which the Indian Standard Meridian (82°30'E) passes, but it lies entirely south of the Tropic of Cancer [t2][t10]. Therefore, Orissa is the correct answer as the line does not intersect its territory.
