Which of the following statements(s) is/are correct? 1. The local time of Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) is about two hours ahead than Dwarka (Gujarat). 2. The local time at Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Lucknow (Utar Pradesh) is almost same. 3. The local time of Mumbai (Maharashtra) is one hour ahead than Kolkata (West bengal).

Statement 1 is correct because India's longitudinal extent is approximately 30°, and since the Earth rotates 1° every 4 minutes, there is a local time lag of about two hours between the easternmost point (Arunachal Pradesh) and the westernmost point (Gujarat). Statement 2 is correct because places on or near the same meridian share the same local time. Chennai (approx. 80.2°E) and Lucknow (approx. 80.9°E) are located at very similar longitudes, making their local solar times almost identical. Statement 3 is incorrect because Kolkata (approx. 88.3°E) is east of Mumbai (approx. 72.8°E).
