In April 2017, India celebrated the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's Satyagraha in Champaran, which began in April 1917 [5]. Gandhi arrived in Motihari, Champaran, on April 10, 1917, marking the start of his first successful civil disobedience movement on Indian soil [2]. The Government of India and various organizations held commemorative programs from April 2017 to April 2018 to honor this historic milestone [5]. Other events like the Kheda Satyagraha (1918), the Dandi March (1930), and Gandhi's return from South Africa (1915) did not align with a 100-year anniversary in April 2017 [4].
