Additionally, the site houses two significant World War I memorials: the Heliopolis (Port Tewfik) Memorial, which commemorates nearly 4,000 members of the Indian Army, and the Heliopolis (Aden) Memorial [1]. These memorials were relocated to Cairo after the original structures in Port Tewfik and Aden were destroyed during later conflicts.
