The Port of Santos (Santos) is widely recognized as Brazil’s principal coffee export gateway and historically served as the headquarters of the national coffee exchange, centralizing trade and shipments of Brazilian coffee to world markets. Recent export data show the Port of Santos accounted for the vast majority of Brazilian coffee shipments (about 72.6% of total export volume in a cited season), underscoring its dominant role in global coffee trade logistics. As Brazil supplies a very large share of world coffee production, the concentration of exports through Santos has earned it the epithet “Coffee port” of the world [2].
