Statement (2) is incorrect because although Nehru and Sardar Patel were members, M.A. Jinnah withdrew acceptance and the Muslim League boycotted the Assembly, so he was not part of the Constituent Assembly of India as it functioned thereafter [2]. Statement (3) is wrong—the first sitting was on 9 December 1946 [3]. Statement (4) is also wrong—the Constitution was adopted on 26 November 1949 and came into force on 26 January 1950 [3].
